The second main character in action will be Nova, Sister Charlie, a journalist and well-known activist in New Orleans. The project “Queen Sugar” was made based on the book of the same name by Natali Baszil. Oprah herself is not only a producer, but she will also perform a small episodic role. She is convinced that this story will appeal to very many people, as it touches on such important things as kinship ties, rethinking their own way of life and raising a child in an incomplete family.
